Efficient phosphorus (P) management for black soybean requires rapid nutrient supply without neglecting the soil-improving functions of organic amendments. This study evaluated whether quail manure and SP-36 fertilizer interact to improve black soybean performance and post-harvest soil available P. A 3 x 3 factorial randomized complete block design with three replications was conducted in Medan Deli, Indonesia, from February to May 2026. Quail manure was applied at 0, 20, and 30 t ha-1, while SP-36 was applied at 0, 225, and 250 kg ha-1. Pod number, pod weight, seed weight, root length, root weight, 100-seed weight, and post-harvest available P were analyzed by ANOVA followed by Duncan's Multiple Range Test at 5%. Both inputs significantly improved all measured variables. Their interaction was highly significant for all yield and root traits, but not for soil available P. The 30 t ha-1 manure + 250 kg ha-1 SP-36 combination produced 268.00 pods plant-1, 89.32 g pod weight plant-1, 71.48 g seed weight plant-1, 64.34 cm root length, 20.02 g root weight, and 11.60 g 100-seed weight. Although this combination also had the highest numerical available P (15.61 ppm), the non-significant interaction indicates that the crop-response synergy was not mirrored by residual soil P. Integrated organic-mineral P management therefore improved black soybean productivity, while residual available P responded primarily to the independent effects of each fertilizer source.
